The cabin, by the way, is a declared invitation to fun. The finish is not quite luxurious, but is well made, with soft touch parts and attractive texture frames . There are many chrome accents and extensive leather lining, especially on the contact parts. Already the seats fit very well with the high lateral supports and electrical regulation of distance and height. There is lumbar support, heating and cooling, but lacked memory and electrical adjustment of the backrest, which is regulated by lever.
Low Driving Position
The driving position is low, but does not make entry difficult. Some modern refinements have been left out, which may even please the purists, in case of the parking brake lever – in the Chevrolet Camaro, for example, the handbrake is electronic, by button. But there are other items of the moment. And the more you step on the accelerator, the greater the pleasure. It may sound exaggerated, but the Mustang will make you want to accelerate.
Speed and Acceleration
In our tests, the iconic sport confirmed its predilection for speed. In the acceleration from zero to 100 km / h, it spiked 4.8 s, little more than the 4.3 s announced by the brand . But the most important thing in this first contact: he was better than the archrival of Chevrolet in our last gauging, when he fulfilled the same test in 5 s. The proximity of numbers shows how much the two models have in common. The Camaro SS uses a 6.2-liter V8 of 461 hp and 62.9 kgfm of torque, while the Mustang GT Premium features a 5.0 V8 with 466 hp and 56.7 kgfm – both aspirated and rear-wheel drive. At GM, the automatic gearbox has eight speeds, while in Ford the transmission offers ten ratios. Want another proof that the pair was born to rival? For Mustang and Camaro had the same 2.3 s in the 40 km / hr 80 km / hr retreat, the same 2.5 s in the 60 km / hr 100 km / hr, and Mustang got the better by a thousandth in the rescue of 80 km / h 120 km / h: 2.8 s, against 2.9 s of the rival. Yes. The Mustang is an icon not just for Ford, but for the world of cars, and in this sixth generation mixes the muscle-filled body with state-of-the-art electronics.
